Family Golf Time was created to give that support a home — a way for golf courses across our community to stand together behind the people who serve. If your course already supports Veterans, Active Duty members, or First Responders, or you're looking for a meaningful way to start, we're asking you to join us.
Our Mission
We're building a local online community of golfers on social media, bringing together the support golfers already have for Veterans, Active Duty members, and First Responders, and putting it in one place. As this community grows, the next step is clear: inviting local golf courses to join. This gives courses a direct way to reach engaged golfers with their events, promotions, and specials, while standing behind a mission that matters.
About Family Golf Time
I'm Steve Finlayson, owner of Business PowerNet, a digital marketing company. After 20+ years in marketing and advertising, I've started a streaming radio station, launched several digital publications, and now I'm a proud part of the local golf community.
I created American Vet Project because too many Veterans were taking their own lives, and too many others weren't getting the help they needed. We decided to do something about it — building a site that connects Veterans, Active Duty members, and First Responders to the organizations that can actually help them.
Working with the golf community, I realized it was a natural fit for Family Golf Time. Golfers know a lot of Veterans, Active Duty members, and First Responders who could benefit from the services on this site. Together, we can help spread the word and get a Veteran the help they might need.
